Words: what do they say?
This exercise focused on the different ways in which type can be created. I interpreted the purpose if it as trying to think of original ways of creating typography. In light of this I decided to avoid simply drawing my type which is the standard format. Instead I decided to explore building type by cutting up paper and reconstructing it. I liked this idea of taking an element apart and manipulating it. I liked the outcome of it, however, I felt it was a bit safe aesthetically.

I also attempted to take this concept to another level by experimenting with making it 3D however I felt this wasn't as successful as I envisioned it would be.

| No.1 Scrunched up paper |
I preferred this outcome to the previous one in which I experimented with cutting up paper. I like the rough look/ imperfect effect scrunching up the paper gives; this is mostly because I decided to take a different approach as I usually prefer to have everything looking perfect/slick. This idea is a lot strongly aesthetically however I disliked the simplicity of the white paper.

I experimented with colour by using blue ink to paint my A1 sheets of paper to give the typography more character. I choose to use ink rather than paint as ink gave me less control which resulted in me getting slightly carried away and mark making without over thinking what I was doing.

I was very happy with my outcome, entitled: 'Blueberry crush', I think the texture and colour compliments each other as the different shades of blue resonate with the idea of 'crush'.

For the final task I decided to choose a passage from the bible to represent myself and my future aspirations. I chose this in particular because I feel as though it is very general and can be applied to everything and anything. I believe the possibilities are endless for me. The world really is my oyster as cliche as that is. One of my future aspirations is to be in a flexible position where I am able to do anything I want. I don't what to be limited.

The picture titled "Numbers" was taken in an interesting angle. The positions of the numbers 1-2-3 as it descends was really creative and it add more meaning to it
